Over time, the changes will affect the mobilization process. This was announced on May 24 by the advisor to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, volunteer Serhiy Sternenko.

What to expect from army reform?

Serhiy Sternenko reported that the army reform will take place in two stages.

The second stage of the reform will concern mobilization, but will be launched later. Sternenko did not reveal details, except that “very serious changes” are expected and more foreigners will be recruited into the army.

I see news every day about our mobilization, where sometimes there is just pure trash happening, which cannot be commented on or explained with censored words. But after the mobilization there will be very serious changes. It will no longer be exactly like what is happening now,
– said the advisor to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Sternenko added that currently army reform is the top priority of the Ministry of Defense.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously reported that the army reform will focus on the financial support of servicemen. In addition to raising salaries, he instructed government officials to launch special contracts for infantry, which would provide for payments of 250,000-400,000 hryvnias depending on the performance of combat missions.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky added that the minimum support for military personnel in the rear will increase to 30 thousand hryvnias.
