On May 20, King Charles III visited the seaside city of Newcastle, where he had an embarrassing incident. A bird left a “mark” on His Majesty's jacket.
The video has been discussed online for several days. The BBC, in particular, wrote about it.
During a walk in Newcastle, bird droppings stained the back of the king's jacket. At that moment, His Majesty was just about to start a meeting with local residents. King Charles III reacted calmly, joking: “At least it didn't get on my head.” A woman present in the crowd remarked that it was “for luck”, after which the British monarch smiled.
It should be added that King Charles III did not come to Northern Ireland alone – he was accompanied by his wife Queen Camilla. The royal couple spent three days there: they arrived on May 19 and left on the 22nd. This is the 43rd visit of His Majesty to Northern Ireland – first in the status of Prince, and now as King.
