LNG tanker leaves Strait of Hormuz for India for first time since Iran war began

A tanker carrying liquefied natural gas has left the Strait of Hormuz for the first time since the start of the Iran-Iraq war and headed for India, which may indicate a gradual restoration of energy supplies from the Persian Gulf.

Bloomberg writes about this.

This is the vessel “Al Hamra” of the Adnoc Logistics & Services company, which, according to ship tracking data, left the Persian Gulf with cargo and was heading for the west coast of India.

As noted, the tanker has temporarily not transmitted a signal since approximately April 19, but during this period it loaded at the Das Island export terminal, owned by Abu Dhabi National Oil Co.

According to analysts, such deliveries indicate that the region's exporters are finding ways to continue supplying energy to key buyers, despite increased security risks in the Strait of Hormuz.
