Prince William has shared warm words about his wife, Kate Middleton, as he comments for the first time in a long time on the princess's recovery from her battle with cancer.
On Friday, May 22, Prince William gave a rare interview on the British radio show Heart Breakfast. He spoke about how proud he is of his wife.
She's a great mom, a great wife, and honestly, our family just couldn't do it without her, so she's just incredible and wonderful,
– said the son of Charles III.
Prince William admitted that he is proud of his wife, who recently made her first overseas visit in a long time.
“She's been just incredible. She's been through a lot in the last few years. And yes, she was really looking forward to this trip to Italy. So I'm really glad it went so well,” Prince William said.
The Prince of Wales added that such trips are quite tiring. Therefore, they make sure that the princess recovers and rests. According to him, Kate Middleton is now “in good shape.”

Did Kate Middleton beat cancer?
In March 2024, Prince William's wife publicly announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer. The family did not go into details. After the operation, which Kate Middleton had previously undergone, the princess began a course of preventive chemotherapy.
Due to treatment, the Princess of Wales withdrew from royal duties for a long period and hardly appeared in public.
In September 2024, the royal family announced that Kate had completed her treatment. In January 2025, the princess announced that her cancer was in remission. She gradually began to return to traveling and public appearances.
In May of this year, the Princess of Wales traveled abroad for the first time in several years – she visited Italy.
