Art dealer Evgen Karas demonstrates Sil-Sol, a fine art marketplace that he co-founded on Facebook, to the Kyiv Post on June 30, 2020 in Kyiv. Created to support visual artists during the COVID-19 quarantine, Sil-Sol became a platform for discussions and lectures about art with over 26,000 members in two and a half months.

For months now, Ukrainian art dealer Evgen Karas has been digging through thousands of artwork day and night — more than he ever did in his gallery before the COVID‑19 quarantine.

Scores of painted flowers, sailboats and city landscapes, nudes and abstract drawings, street photography and bizarre sculptures — all kinds of art now wait for Karas’ approval online.
