The night of February 1, 2026, turned out to be explosive for the Russian troops. After all, units of the Defense Forces attacked a number of enemy military facilities in the temporarily occupied territories and in Russia.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the results of the effective work of Ukrainian soldiers.

Where did the occupiers' military facilities land?

The attack occurred in the occupied territories of Zaporizhia region near the settlement of Rozivka, where a repair base of a unit from the occupiers' engineer-sapper regiment was under attack.

The consequences were also recorded in the Donetsk region, namely near Myrnograd, where a Russian UAV control point was hit. The Ukrainian fighters also targeted the company's command and observation post, as well as soldiers from the aggressor country.

In addition, the day before, the Defense Forces struck an enemy drone control point near the settlement of Nekislytsia, Bryansk Oblast, Russia.

A hit on a concentration of Russian troops was recorded in the Bryansk region of Russia. The total losses of the occupiers and the extent of the damage are currently being clarified.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue to systematically implement measures aimed at weakening the offensive capabilities and reducing the combat potential of the Russian aggressor,
– the General Staff emphasized.

By the way, as of February 1, the total losses of Russian troops in Ukraine amounted to about 1,240,680 soldiers.

What is the situation at the front?

  • Recently, in the Pokrovsky direction, Russian troops conducted a mechanized assault on the village of Hryshyne, using armored vehicles. However, the occupiers failed to implement their plans, the attack was successfully repelled by Ukrainian fighters. As a result of the battle, two units of enemy armored vehicles were destroyed, and more than 10 Russian soldiers were eliminated.

  • The situation in the Kharkiv region remains tense. The Russians are trying to cover up their own failures with reports of “capturing” settlements in the region. This was the case with Kupyansk-Vuzlovy. However, DeepState analysts have debunked the occupiers' myths about advancement.

  • At the same time, Russian troops are daily transferring military equipment and manpower through temporarily occupied Mariupol towards Hulyaipol in Zaporizhia, which makes this direction one of the priorities for the occupiers.

  • Petro Andryuschenko, head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, explained in a comment to Channel 24 that currently, due to adverse weather conditions, the enemy is mostly accumulating and equipping reserves near the contact line, rather than conducting large-scale assaults.
