A man was convicted in Kyiv for stabbing a Kyiv resident in the chest with a knife due to a conflict. The man died on the spot.
This was reported today, May 22, by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kyiv.
It is noted that the incident occurred in May 2023. At that time, the capital's law enforcement officers received a report that a man had been killed in an apartment on Mykola Vasylenko Street. The officers detained the deceased's friend, a 52-year-old resident of the Kyiv region.
The investigation established that the 47-year-old owner of the apartment, together with his friends, was drinking alcoholic beverages at home.
“During the feast, a conflict arose between the men due to too loud music, as a result of which one of the guests stabbed the host in the chest several times. The Kyiv resident died on the spot from the injuries he received,” the report says.
The detainee was charged with premeditated murder under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court chose a preventive measure for him during the investigation: detention in custody. He was found guilty and sentenced to 11 years in prison, the police reported.
