
Four officers from regional police departments in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, and Zhytomyr regions have been released from pre-trial detention on bail. They are suspected of receiving bribes for “covering” so-called “porn offices” that distributed “explicit” content on the Internet.
The Public was informed about this by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The following were released on bail:
- Volodymyr Yatsyuk, the second deputy head of the National Police in Ivano-Frankivsk region, was released on bail of 5 million hryvnias.
- First Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Ternopil Region Andriy Tkachyk. The court set him bail in the amount of 5 million hryvnias.
- The court set bail for Serhiy Bezpalko, the deputy head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Ivano-Frankivsk region. He was released on bail of 7 million hryvnias.
- Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zhytomyr Region Ilya Gulevaty. The court set bail for him at 1 million 164 thousand hryvnias.
By court decision, they must now appear at the first summons of the investigator and prosecutor, surrender their foreign passports, and wear an electronic bracelet.
Volodymyr Vorobey, a former driver of the state-owned car company “Center for Service of Units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine”, remained under arrest. The court set him bail in the amount of 8 million hryvnias.
