Mobile operator Kyivstar is updating terms and conditions for some users. Starting May 21, subscription subscribers will have access to updated terms and conditions for connecting the Kyivstar TV Plus service, and starting May 25, the rules of use will change permanently.
What changes will apply to Kyivstar TV?
The changes primarily concern the cost of connection and the method of debiting funds for the service, the company reported.
During the transition period, subscribers using “Kyivstar TV Superpower” will be able to activate the package for 50 hryvnias per month. The main change at this stage is the absence of an additional charge of 3 hryvnias for the first day of use, which was in effect previously.
In fact, this is a short “window” of more favorable conditions for connecting to the service. After the interim period ends, the payment model will become more flexible, but also more complicated for the user.
Instead of a fixed connection, a combined system is introduced:
- 3 hryvnias – for the first day of use;
- 50 UAH – for 30 days of access to the service;
- or 3 hryvnias per day if there are not enough funds in the account for the monthly debit.
Separately, the company emphasizes that subscribers should monitor their balance to avoid switching to daily payment.
What is included in the Kyivstar TV Plus package?
It is planned to expand the standard package to the Premium HD level, which includes:
- more than 430 TV channels; 20,000+ movies and TV series (collections from Disney, Paramount+, Universal, BBC, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, etc.);
- all theme packages;
- viewing on five devices (TV, smartphone, tablet, laptop, computer), three of which can be turned on simultaneously in any combination.
How to activate the service? You can activate the service via USSD request 700#, the “My Kyivstar” mobile application, short number 477760 or via the Kyivstar TV application.
What does this mean?
- Kyivstar is moving to a flexible payment model for digital services.
- Subscribers receive a short period of more favorable conditions before the tariff changes.
- The cost of access depends on the account balance.
- The operator continues to integrate television into the mobile ecosystem.
Please note! The service also works in roaming, however, Internet traffic is charged according to the conditions of the country of residence. Monthly debiting occurs on the day of connection, and cancellation of “Superpower” automatically terminates the package.

Mobile tariffs are regularly increasing, and telecom companies are “hunting” for subscribers who want to switch from their operator to another with lower tariffs. 24 Channel asked Oleksandr Komarov how the price increase affects the customer base and what subscribers can expect in the coming months.

Tariffs will increase. It's very simple – the country has double-digit official inflation. We are a subject of this country's economy.
Komarov names two key factors that put pressure on the economics of any business.
The first is inflation.
- In a number of expense items that are critical for the operator, the real growth significantly exceeds the official 12%.
- During peak load periods – mornings and evenings – commercial electricity prices have increased by about 60% over the past year.
- Payments for radio frequency spectrum increased by 23%, and labor costs also increased by more than 20%.
The second is devaluation.
- According to Komarov, the hryvnia exchange rate has fallen by 6-7% year-on-year. This is even better than the pessimistic figures the company had budgeted, but it still creates additional pressure.
- The company reinvests approximately 30% of its revenue into the network, and the lion's share of these investments is in foreign currency: batteries, generators, radio equipment, licensed software (Ericsson, Nokia, etc.) are not purchased for hryvnia. Rather, “pillars and part of services” remain in the national currency.
