Syrsky: There are all conditions to prepare three shifts of military personnel for rotations every two months

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have the ability to organize three shifts of military personnel to conduct constant rotations every two months.

This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, in an interview with Military.

“We counted everything, the number of personnel in the brigades on average in positions and the presence of personnel deployed to the area of operation (ground, – ed.). There are a large number of servicemen there who are in combat areas. We have all the conditions to create three shifts and ensure the preparation of the shift that will be used as a replacement, which will be used as a replacement for rotation at our training grounds, at sites that are adapted for this,” he said.

According to the Commander-in-Chief, it is necessary to ensure not only rotation, but also training for servicemen preparing to perform combat missions.

Syrsky noted that about one month should be allocated for the performance of combat missions in the combat zone, and then the unit should be withdrawn for recovery, replenishment, training, or performance of other tasks not on the front line.

He also stated that on the 15th of each month, the rotations will be checked.

“For example, groups of officers are currently working to check how the brigades kept records of servicemen who were in front-line positions, how their duration of stay was taken into account. That is, now we need to clarify everything and deal with those people who will replace them and create a system of control over this,” the commander-in-chief said.

At the same time, Syrsky emphasized that preparation for the rotation is carried out in the same way as preparation for an offensive, since the use of drones has expanded the danger zone and it is necessary to create safe conditions for the military to move.

The Commander-in-Chief noted that the operational situation does not always allow for the replacement of units within the specified time frame. In cases of aggravation of the situation or active hostilities, the decision to postpone the rotation is made taking into account the real situation on a specific section of the front.
