The average air temperature during February is expected to be within normal limits, in some regions the indicators may exceed it. However, the beginning of the month will still be frosty.
This information was provided by Natalia Ptukha, a representative of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, in an exclusive interview with Channel 24 .
How will the weather change in February?
She explained that experts estimate the average monthly temperature across the country, and it is expected to be from 4 degrees below zero to 2 degrees Celsius, which is the norm for the western, northern, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Poltava regions.
In all other regions, she said, the air temperature could exceed the norm by 1.5 degrees. She emphasized that it is important to understand that these are average monthly figures, since severe frosts are still occurring in our country.
In particular, in the first 4 days of February, local temperatures in the western and northern regions may range from 21 to 26 degrees below zero,

What predictions did the weather forecasters give?

It was reported that the weather will change from very cold to more spring-like throughout February. Forecasters predict that temperatures will be 1.5 degrees above normal in the South, Crimea, and the East.

However, before that, namely by February 3, a sharp drop in temperature to -30 degrees is expected in Ukraine, especially in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Sumy, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions.
