The military told about the mysterious note / Collage of Channel 24
Ukrainian military found an anonymous note in one of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems. The mysterious message was hidden in a false panel.
This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
What note did the military find?
According to the military, they received this Patriot air defense system from partners.
During operation, they accidentally found a button in the complex's false panel, in which a note in English was hidden.

Works fine last long time SLAVA UKRAINE,
– the note said.
As one of the officers of the anti-aircraft missile unit, Yaroslav, noted, receiving a Patriot is already a great pleasure for the military, but it was the note that became a special joy.
We realized that the people who are giving us this complex, they really care about us. And they believe in our victory. Because our victory is the victory of the whole world,
– he added.
The officer also thanked international partners for their assistance and emphasized that the Patriot system works effectively, repels enemy attacks, and increases the confidence of Ukrainian defenders in the future.

Reference. Patriot is currently one of the best and most famous air defense systems in the world. It is a universal anti-aircraft missile system capable of intercepting targets at long distances and actually “closing the sky”. For example, only four such systems can cover a large city. An important advantage of Patriot is also its multi-vector capability: it can simultaneously detect and recognize more than 100 air targets, continuously track 8 of them, and launch and guide up to 3 missiles at each of the 8 targets.
According to aviation expert Konstantin Kryvolap, Ukraine has already begun working on developing an analogue of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system. At the same time, in a commentary on Channel 24, he explained that developing an anti-aircraft missile is an extremely complex process and it is not always possible to create one quickly.
As Kryvolap noted, if Ukraine can ever develop an analogue to the Patriot air defense system, it will be able to break a serious “dependence” on the United States. At the same time, the question remains whether the United States is interested in allowing a competitor into this market.
Not all countries want to share Patriot missiles
In May, The Washington Post reported that the stockpile of PAC-3 interceptor missiles for Patriot systems is almost exhausted, with only a small number of the relevant ammunition currently scattered across different regions of the country.
According to the journalists' interlocutors, in early 2026, the administration of US President Donald Trump appealed to at least several European partners, calling for the transfer of additional missiles to Ukraine.
However, some allies refused – they cited the need to maintain sufficient reserves to protect their own airspace.
