During the massive Russian attack on the Kyiv region on the night of May 14, parts of a combat missile flew into the apartments of a residential building in the village of Chabany.

This was reported on May 14 by the State Emergency Service of Kyiv Region and photos and videos of the missile's warhead being neutralized.

“It was only by a miracle that the rocket did not explode inside the high-rise building, as this could have led to a large-scale tragedy and numerous casualties,” the report says.

Pyrotechnicians from the State Emergency Service arrived at the scene, and they were assisted by rescuers from the local fire and rescue unit.

“Experts removed the remains of the missile from the second and third floors using special equipment and techniques. The most dangerous situation was in the apartment on the first floor, where the missile's warhead was located,” the regional State Emergency Service said.

On the night of May 14, the Kyiv region was under a massive attack by the Russian Federation. According to the head of the region, Mykola Kalashnik, seven people were injured, including a three-year-old child. There is extensive damage to houses. Fires broke out, there is damage to residential buildings, cars and outbuildings in the Obukhiv, Brovar, Fastiv, Boryspil and Bila Tserkva districts.

There are dead and wounded in Kyiv. 9 districts of the capital were hit. A nine-story building collapsed in Darnytsia district. Bodies were found under the rubble. In particular, a 12-year-old girl. Two men, ages 21 and 30, and a woman were also rescued from under the rubble of the destroyed entrance to the high-rise building, her identity is currently being established.
