On the night of May 14, Russian forces launched missiles and attack drones at Kyiv. The elimination of the consequences of the shelling is ongoing in the Obolonskyi, Darnytskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts of the city.

Updated on the morning of May 15 : the State Emergency Service reports that as of 6 a.m. the death toll has increased to 24 people , including three children.
At around 3:00 p.m. on May 14, the State Emergency Service reported that the death toll had risen to seven . In particular, the body of a 12-year-old girl was pulled from under the rubble of a house, Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko informed.
Updated at 1:30 PM : The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that “there is information about at least 20 missing persons .”
People may still be under the rubble, Svitlana Vodolaga, a spokeswoman for the Kyiv State Emergency Service, told the Public at the scene of the crash.
“Preliminarily, there may still be people under the rubble, but we don't know exactly how many people. We are being contacted by people whose relatives cannot get in touch. Preliminary, at the moment, 14 more people cannot get in touch , but these figures may not be final,” said Svitlana Vodolaga.

According to the mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, 18 apartments were destroyed in the building. 28 people were rescued, said the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.

At the scene, doctors and employees of the State Emergency Service are providing assistance to people who suffered minor injuries. In particular, Mr. Vasyl was bandaged on his injured nose. The man told Suspilny that he was at home during the shelling.
“There was just a blow, I was thrown back, I fell and my nose was broken. I didn't even understand whether I was thrown back by the blast wave or hit by the door,” the injured man said.
“We went down to the shelter, sat, one after another there was banging, banging and just whistling. And everything fell down, including our windows. Fear,” Iryna, a resident of a house damaged by the blast wave, which is located opposite the destroyed nine-story building, told Suspilny.

Ivan, 18, helped rescuers pull people out of the rubble in the first minutes. The boy lives with his father near the damaged house in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv.
“I heard a woman's scream near the SES officer, a terrible scream, of last hope. I rush there, start digging with the SES officer. The two of us stand up, start raking. At that moment, they are putting out the fire and this smoke is blowing on us, it is very difficult to breathe, because I am kneeling in this hole and digging like that,” Ivan told Suspilny.
Volunteer Sofia has also been helping to clear away the rubble since morning: “We're removing glass, sealing up windows, talking to people who are in a difficult emotional state.”
In the Darnytskyi district, debris was also recorded falling in an open area and near a non-residential building, and MAFs and gas stations were involved.

Public transport traffic in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv was partially changed after the night attack, the Kyiv City State Administration reported. The movement is organized without stopping at the “Kharkivska” metro station, namely:
- Buses No. 104, 108, 109 – Arkhitektora Verbytskoho St. – Bratstva Tarasivtsiv St. Then follow their own route;
- Bus No. 22 – Trostyanetska St. – Arkhitektora Verbytskoho St. – Bratstva Tarasivtsiv St. – Anna Akhmatova St. – Revutskoho St. – Mykola Bazhan Ave. Then follow your own route;
- Buses No. 45 – to Revutskoho St. – Trostyanetska St. – Arkhitektora Verbytskoho St. Then follow your own route.
What is known about the attack on Kyiv and the region on the night of May 14?
On the night of May 14, Russian troops launched a combined strike on Kyiv and the region with missiles and drones. There were deaths and injuries in Kyiv. In particular, a one-month-old baby who was poisoned by carbon monoxide, said the head of the KMVA, Timur Tkachenko.
Nine districts of the capital were hit: Shevchenkivskyi, Pecherskyi, Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Obolonskyi, Solomyanskyi, Desnyanskyi, Svyatoshynskyi and Holosiivskyi districts. Apartment buildings, non-residential premises, a business center, a car dealership, garages and a parked car were damaged.
There are also injuries in the Kyiv region as a result of the Russian attack. Fires broke out, and there is damage to residential buildings, cars, and outbuildings in the Obukhiv, Brovary, Fastiv, Boryspil, and Bila Tserkva districts.
