
In the village of Sofiivska Borshchahivka, near Kyiv, law enforcement officers discovered an illegal gambling establishment in the basement of one of the apartment buildings, which was operating under the guise of a beauty salon.
This was reported to the Kyiv region police on May 13.
“During an urgent search of the establishment, police officers discovered and seized 26 system units, 26 monitors, a video recorder, a cash register, and a notebook with rough notes,” the report says.

Law enforcement officers have opened proceedings on the fact of illegal activities in the organization and conduct of gambling – Part 1 of Article 203-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This is punishable by a fine of 10,000 to 40,000 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (as of 2026, this is over 170,000 UAH) with confiscation of property.
