
On the night of May 14, Russia launched 675 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones into Ukraine , and also fired 56 missiles of various types. As a result of anti-aircraft battles, Ukrainian air defense neutralized 652 UAVs and 41 missiles.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
They say that starting at six in the evening on May 13, immediately after a massive drone strike during the day, Russian forces continued their attack, launching a combined strike on Ukraine using strike drones, air- and ground-based missiles.
This air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and the main direction of the attack was Kyiv.
What did the Russian army do to Ukraine?
In total, the radio engineering troops of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded and accompanied 731 air attack vehicles – 56 missiles and 675 UAVs:
- 3 X-47 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles;
- 18 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;
- 35 X-101 cruise missiles;
- 675 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas attack UAVs, Banderol loitering munitions, and Parody-type simulator drones.
“According to preliminary data, as of 8:00, air defense systems shot down/suppressed 693 targets – 41 missiles and 652 drones of various types: 29 Kh-101 cruise missiles, 12 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, 652 enemy UAVs of various types,” the report says.
The FS added that as a result of the attack, 15 missiles and 23 strike drones were recorded hitting 24 locations, as well as drone debris falling in 18 places. At the same time, the Russian air attack continues, and several new groups of strike drones have entered Ukrainian airspace.
