British boxer Daniel Dubois took first place in the updated ranking of The Ring among contenders for the heavyweight belt held by Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
The change in the leaderboard of the contenders occurred after the fight for the WBO world title between Dubois and Fabio Wardley. The fight ended with a technical knockout in the 11th round in favor of the British boxer. During the fight, Dubois was knocked down twice, but managed to continue the fight and win the 23rd victory of his professional career.
In the updated rankings, Dubois has overtaken his rivals to become the top contender on the list. Wardley, who suffered his first professional defeat, has dropped to fourth place. The top three contenders also include Germany's Agit Caballe and former world champion Tyson Fury.
