Ukraine received energy equipment with a total capacity of about 1 GW from partners — Deputy Prime Minister Kuleba

Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksiy Kuleba said that Ukraine has received more than 700 units of energy equipment with a capacity of about one gigawatt from partners.

He said this during the final presentation of the Recovery Agency for 2025, a correspondent for Suspilny reported.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, boilers, cogeneration units and high-power mobile generators came from Azerbaijan, Belgium, Estonia, Italy, Canada, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, the United Kingdom, the USA, Turkey, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden and Japan. Over the past week, Ukraine has received more than 100 units of equipment.

“To ensure the stable operation of treatment plants, heat and water supply, Ukraine needs additional capacity. We are creating a national reserve of mobile energy equipment. It will allow us to maintain basic services for people during repair work, which is especially important in winter,” said Kuleba.

The government has allocated 2.6 billion hryvnias to create a reserve with a capacity of 130 megawatts. However, Ukraine's needs are greater, and the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development will turn to partners for help.

Update: We incorrectly quoted Kuleba in the previous version of the news — he did not compare the power of power equipment with the power of one nuclear power unit. Suspilne apologizes for the error.
