Fortunately, no casualties among local residents have been reported among civilians.

The Joint Forces Operation Headquarters (JFO HQ) says Russia’s hybrid military forces have shelled residential areas and a school located in the town of Maryinka in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.

“The Russian-occupying forces have arranged a ‘ceasefire’, which was too ‘loud’ for the peaceful residents of Maryinka in Donetsk region, as well as for staff and students of secondary school No. 2 located there,” the JFO HQ wrote on Facebook on March 11.

“Neglecting the norms of humanitarian law accepted in the civilized world, members of Russia’s armed formations shelled residential areas on the outskirts of Maryinka, employing automatic grenade launchers and small arms,” the report says.

Students and children from the extended daycare group were promptly evacuated to the school’s bomb shelter.

After the enemy attack, National Police officers evacuated the students and school personnel from the danger zone back to their homes. Fortunately, no casualties among local residents have been reported.

The JFO Command reiterates that the Ukrainian Army will open fire on the enemy forces if their actions pose a threat to the life or health of civilians.
