As noted on the “Accounting World” resource, prices may also depend on how many employees the individual entrepreneur has and whether he has any at all.

So, if an individual entrepreneur is a single payer of group 2 and does not have employees, the subscription service for accounting will cost from 2.5 thousand hryvnias per quarter. For individual entrepreneurs of group 2 who have employees, the corresponding services will cost from 3.5 thousand hryvnias per month.

“BukhFOP” in particular explains that comprehensive business services from an accountant should include:

  • consultation on the activities of an individual entrepreneur;
  • reporting;
  • checking the status of the individual entrepreneur's activities;
  • formation of orders for tax payment;
  • control over timely tax payments;
  • personnel documentation and salary calculation;
  • consultations on working with RRO or PRRO;
  • informing about changes in laws.

Does a sole proprietorship necessarily need an accountant?

Lawyer Bohdan Yankiv said on his YouTube channel that the law does not require the registration of an accountant for the staff of an individual entrepreneur or legal entity. That is, entrepreneurs can work independently.

In the initial stages, when a business is just starting up, an entrepreneur often performs all the functions himself – accountant, salesperson, marketer, and even cleaner. This is a normal practice that allows you to minimize costs and gain a deeper understanding of all aspects of the business. However, over time, routine processes should be delegated to free up time for strategic planning and development,
– Yankiv noted.

The lawyer adds that having a lawyer on the team is not mandatory, but it is an effective solution:

  • during business growth or scaling;
  • if there are hired workers;
  • to perform complex operations and track relevant processes;
  • to minimize the consequences during inspections.

In addition, there are now opportunities for flexible cooperation. If an entrepreneur does not want to hire an accountant on a permanent basis, there are one-time consultations. To understand certain points, you can periodically contact specialists and be sure that there are no problems with the documents.

It's easier to grow your business if you have your own car that matches your lifestyle. Yes, the best-selling Škoda Octavia is a balance of comfort and functionality. Nothing superfluous, only the best solutions to make your daily business routine easier. Matrix headlights, wireless phone connection, Front Assist and Cruise Control, three-zone air conditioning and driving mode selection are far from a complete list of “chips” that will allow you to enjoy every trip.

What else do you need to know about the activities of a sole proprietorship?

During the first quarter of 2026, 63,555 new entrepreneurs appeared on the market. At the same time, 51,667 individual entrepreneurs closed. That is, the net increase is 12 thousand new businesses.

Interestingly, 93% of all new entrepreneurs are women (+11,035 sole proprietors). Men registered only 796 businesses in the first quarter of 2026. In terms of areas of activity, the largest increase was in IT, education, and online shopping.

Client expert Anastasia Yamelinets told Channel 24 that the reasons for the closure of individual entrepreneurs are a combination of various reasons. For example, a greater financial burden, changes in consumer behavior. The main reasons are military risks and psychological factors associated with them.

Marketing expert Natalia Holovachko also added in an exclusive comment that in 2026, business closures are not an isolated case, but a mass phenomenon: “due to the war and inflation, people are saving significantly, there are fewer customers in establishments, and in addition, tariffs, rent, and taxes have increased.”
