An elderly man died and a woman was injured as a result of a house fire in the village of Trushky in the Bila Tserkva region.
This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kyiv region on January 30.
The house was discovered on fire at 2:30 p.m. on Friday on Lesia Ukrainka Street. Neighbors said there might be people in the house. The cause of the fire is still being determined.
Rescuers noticed a man born in 1947 with no signs of life, and were unable to resuscitate him. They also provided first aid to a woman born in 1957 at the scene of the fire. She was hospitalized in the district hospital.
