
Ukrainian volleyball player Oleg Plotnytskyi showed one of the most productive matches of the season in the Italian championship. The ex-captain of the Ukrainian national team did it in the second match of Perugia in the final series against Lube Civitanova.
Perugia played the second match of the final series against Luba Civitanova. Before that, the Ukrainian team won the first game in three sets.
In the second match of the series, Perugia lost the first set, but won the next three games to secure the victory. In this match, Plotnytskyi scored 18 points – 15 of them earned on offense, one on blocking, and two on serves. This result was the second best in the match, scored more only by Wassim Ben Tara (23).
18 points is also a repeat of Plotnytsky's third-best result of the season. So far, the Ukrainian volleyball player has scored more points in only two matches.

Thanks to the victory in the second match, Perugia leads the series against Lube Civitanova 2:0. If the Ukrainian's team wins the next match, it will become the champion of Italy ahead of schedule.
Plotnytskyi is currently playing in his fourth Italian Super League final with Perugia. Before that, the Ukrainian lost with the team in 2021 and 2022, and won the championship in 2024.
Perugia's next match in the final series against Lube Civitanova will take place on Wednesday, May 6, at 9:30 p.m. Kyiv time.
