Ukraine improved its position after the second round of the 2026 World Ice Hockey Championship: all results and standings

At the 2026 World Ice Hockey Championship, the second round matches in Division IA have concluded, with the Ukrainian national team taking fourth place in the standings.

In the second round, the “blue-yellow” won their first victory at this year's world championship – they beat the Lithuanian national team 2:1.

The leader of Division IA remained Kazakhstan, which defeated Japan 6:0 in the second round. After two matches, the Kazakhs have a goal difference of 10:1. They conceded their only goal in the first match against Lithuania.

In the final match of the second round, France pulled off a 20-shootout victory in Poland, leaving them the second team to remain unbeaten in Division IA since the start of the season.
