What is known about the money for Rozetka from the EBRD?
The total amount of the loan is 25 million euros: 20 million will be received by the Ukrainian company Rozetka.UA, another 5 million by the division in Poland, the EBRD reported.
The funding is divided into two parts:
- The first – 10 million euros – is intended to replenish working capital both in Ukraine and on the Polish market.
- The second – €15 million – includes unsecured financing, which will also go towards operating activities and possible investments.
The project is partially covered by guarantees from the European Union as part of the investment program for Ukraine, which is aimed at supporting the economy during the war and developing “green” initiatives.
In addition to business goals, the financing also includes a social component. In particular, it concerns the promotion of employment of veterans and support for vulnerable groups of the population. Also among the areas are investments in energy efficiency, in particular the purchase of appropriate household appliances.
What does this mean for Ukraine?
The EBRD emphasizes that such loans allow businesses to obtain long-term financing, which is currently limited in the local market, and to support the company's development abroad.
Therefore, financing Rozetka is a signal of trust from international partners in Ukrainian business, as such agreements can become a driver for the recovery of the Ukrainian economy.
In the end, this deal is not just a loan for one company, but part of a broader process of integrating Ukrainian business into the European economic space.
Interesting! Rozetka was founded in 2005 in Kyiv by Vladislav and Iryna Chechotkin. Later, the company was co-owned by a fund managed by Horizon Capital. Currently, the company operates as a multi-category online marketplace and is developing a network of its own stores. According to YouControl, the companies of the Rozetka corporate group received a total of UAH 30.2 billion in revenue in January-September 2025, which is 76% of the total revenue of the 10 largest online retailers.
What was the turnover of the Rozetka-Evo marketplace group?
The turnover of the Rozetka-Evo marketplace group in 2025 reached UAH 112.4 billion, which is 9% more than a year earlier. This was announced by the group's co-owner Iryna Chechotkina, Forbes reports.
As of the end of 2025, the company's offline network included 776 points of contact with customers – these are stores, delivery points and post offices. The company is also actively developing new formats. In particular, in small towns and villages, partner points for picking up orders in local stores and establishments were launched. About 100 such locations were opened during the year.
Regarding the structure of demand, the fastest growing sales on Rozetka were food (+30%) , sporting goods (over 26%), and cosmetics (+26%). On the Prom.ua platform, the greatest dynamics were shown by food (+50%), pet products (+66%), and tea, coffee, and cocoa (+55%).
Last year, Ukrainians actively bought air grills – this category of products demonstrated the greatest growth dynamics on Rozetka, and also entered the top in terms of the number of requests on the platform,
– says Chechotkina.
A separate direction was the Smart subscription, which was launched in October 2025. It provides free delivery for the Rozetka and Prom.ua services. As of the beginning of 2026, more than 350 thousand users had joined it.
Hundreds of thousands of units of goods are sold on Rozetka every day. You can multiply and calculate monthly volumes, but you need to take into account seasonality. Various factors affect sales: shelling, blackouts, good weather, holidays. For example, in the best weeks there can be about 300 thousand orders per day, and in the worst days – 50-60 thousand. We do not disclose the average order depth, but it is several goods in each check,
– added Rozetka co-founder Vladislav Chechotkin.
How did the marketplace abandon the Russian-language version of the site?
-
In March 2026, it became known that the Rozetka network abandoned the Russian-language version of the site, now it is available only in Ukrainian.
-
“Mezha” contacted Rozetka for an official comment and received confirmation. However, currently, Russian still remains in the site's structure.

It works like this: when searching, the results may be displayed in Russian, but when you go to the corresponding page, it will be in Ukrainian. Viewing the site in the Russian version is not possible.
