Details
Denis and Milena first encountered each other in Kramatorsk at a café the previous year. Denis was there for professional reasons, while Milena resides there. According to the groom, they came to the understanding that they belonged together.
Last November, Denys suffered a critical explosive injury, affecting his left arm, both legs, abdominal organs, and an eye.

There was a chance to save the limbs if the injured individual had been promptly evacuated from his station near Kostyantynivka. However, the sole route available was under heavy enemy fire. During the ischemia (lasting approximately 10-12 hours), the young man developed tourniquet syndrome, tissue death commenced, and it became necessary to amputate both legs and his left arm.
