
A 35-year-old Ukrainian citizen was found dead in the Polish city of Jarocin with a wound from a sharp object. Police have detained the deceased's 21-year-old compatriot on suspicion of involvement in the crime.

The tragic incident occurred on the evening of May 1 in the Polish city of Jarocin. At around 11:30 p.m., a passerby noticed a young man lying in a pool of blood on the sidewalk on Zamkova Street, showing no signs of life.
Police and an ambulance arrived at the scene. Medics pronounced the man dead, having been fatally wounded by a sharp object.
Law enforcement officers quickly identified the deceased as a 35-year-old Ukrainian citizen who lived in Yarocyn County. Investigators are considering a version of premeditated murder, but the exact circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated.
During the night operation, police detained a 21-year-old Ukrainian citizen who also lives in the area and may be involved in the crime. He was identified, in part, thanks to surveillance camera footage and the work of forensics.
The suspect has been detained, but as of Saturday he had not been formally charged or questioned. According to police, the man was sober at the time of his arrest.
