Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk will not shake hands with her opponent in the semifinals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid, Anastasia Potapova, who plays under the Austrian flag. The athlete said this during a press conference after reaching the semifinals.
In the quarterfinals of the “thousandth” tournament, Kostyuk defeated the 13th seed Linda Noskova from the Czech Republic. Thanks to this, the Ukrainian repeated her personal best at WTA 1000 tournaments, reaching her second semifinal at this level in her career.
