Drones of the Security Service of Ukraine have struck one of the largest oil refineries in Russia, Lukoil-Permnaftoorgsintez. The enterprise is located near Perm, more than 1,500 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
According to the SBU, drones from the Alpha Special Operations Center have been attacking Russian oil infrastructure in the Perm region for the second day in a row.
This time, the Lukoil-Permnaftoorgsintez oil refinery, one of the largest refineries in Russia, was hit. Its capacity is almost 13 million tons of oil per year. The plant supplies fuel to the civilian sector and the needs of the Russian military.
According to preliminary data, the AVT-4 unit at the enterprise, a key unit for primary oil processing, was hit. As a result of the impact, the vacuum and atmospheric rectification columns caught fire, which could actually put the unit out of operation.
In addition, on the same day, the SBU again attacked the Perm linear production and dispatching station, which ensures the transportation of oil to the refinery. The day before, drones had already struck this facility, and after the new attack, additional fire centers were recorded there.
Recall that on April 29, the Russian authorities announced an attack by drones on industrial facilities in Orsk, Orenburg Region, and Perm Krai, which are more than 1,500–1,800 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
