A fire broke out in Kyiv's Podilskyi district today, April 30. A woman died in the fire, and another was rescued.
This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Kyiv.
It is noted that the report of the fire was received at 7:53 a.m. The incident occurred on Naberezhno-Lugovaya Street. Rescuers at the scene found that an apartment on the 3rd floor of a five-story residential building was on fire.
“During the firefighting, two injured women were discovered in the apartment. The firefighters took them out into the fresh air and performed resuscitation measures until the ambulance arrived. Despite the efforts of the medics, one of the victims could not be saved,” the report says.
The fire was extinguished at 08:20 on an area of 10 sq.m. The circumstances will be investigated by law enforcement officers.
