
A 51-year-old resident of Vinnytsia Oblast will go on trial in Kyiv. He is suspected of trafficking in weapons and ammunition.

It is noted that law enforcement officers documented the illegal activities of a resident of Vinnytsia region in November last year. It concerned the illegal sale of weapons and ammunition.

“According to the investigation, the man sold the “goods” both personally “from hand to hand” and through postal items. It is documented that the attacker sold the “client” a grenade launcher for $800, which he disassembled into spare parts and sent by mail,” the report says.
The department informed that law enforcement officers detained the suspect while selling an arsenal of weapons and ammunition to another buyer.

“For $2,000, he handed over a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher, anti-tank grenades, and ammunition to the man. All seized evidence was sent for ballistic and explosives examinations, which confirmed their combat suitability,” the police said.
The suspect was charged under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — illegal handling of weapons, ammunition, and explosives. The article carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison.
It was previously reported that law enforcement officers in the Bila Tserkva region exposed a 35-year-old man. According to the case materials, the suspect illegally purchased and stored unified grenade fuses at home, after which he sold them for 1,000 hryvnias. The police also established that the suspect sold two hand offensive grenades and two fuses for 5,000 hryvnias.
Law enforcement officers also reported a 42-year-old Kyiv resident to the police. According to the case materials, he was selling firearms that he found in the combat zone. The investigation found that the suspect was looking for “clients” who wanted to buy weapons via the Internet. After full payment, he sent them the goods by mail.
