Member of Parliament from “European Solidarity” and Chairman of the Temporary Investigative Commission The Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the investigation of possible violations of Ukrainian legislation in the field of defense, anti-corruption legislation of Ukraine and observance of human rights and freedoms during martial law. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksiy Honcharenko summons former First Assistant to the President Serhiy Shefir and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov to a meeting of the commission, which is scheduled for May 13.

Honcharenko, who heads the TSC for investigating possible violations of the law during martial law, stated that Shefir and Umerov must provide official explanations regarding the published new transcripts of conversations in the “Midas” case.
According to him, one of the recordings, according to media reports, shows a conversation between Shefir and businessman Timur Mindich.
“The morning for all of us began with new Mindich tapes, which were published by Ukrainska Pravda. And one of the figures in these tapes was Serhiy Shefir… I am calling Shefir to give official testimony in this case. Therefore, we are waiting for the meeting. The questions are becoming more and more,” wrote Honcharenko.
As a reminder, the editorial office of “Ukrainska Pravda” has published a new transcript of part of the audio recordings, known as the “Mindich tapes”, obtained, according to them, from sources in political circles. The materials, which contain three parts, were included in the investigation of the NABU and the SAPO in the “Midas” case.
The transcripts of the recordings, voiced by investigative journalist Mykhailo Tkach, consist of three parts – they allegedly record conversations between Timur Mindich and former first assistant to the president of Ukraine Serhiy Shefir, former defense minister and current secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov, and a woman named Natalia. In the transcripts, the individuals involved communicate with each other in Russian.
According to the UP, in the first fragment of the conversation between Mindich and Shefir, the situation related to the suspicion and bail for the former Minister of National Unity Oleksiy Chernyshov was discussed. Financial issues related to the deputies from the “Servant of the People” Yuriy Kisel and Oleksandr Sova were also mentioned. The transcripts of this conversation also mention the former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine (OPU) Andriy Yermak, the former deputy head of the OPU Andriy Smirnov, and the current deputy head of the OPU Oleh Tatarov.
The second transcript is a supposed conversation between Mindich and a woman named Natalia, with whom they discuss freezing the construction of estates of the Dynasty cooperative.
The third fragment , according to Tkach, is a transcript of a conversation between Mindich and Umerov dated July 8, 2025. According to the journalist, the dialogue took place after Zelensky informed Umerov, who was then the head of the Ministry of Defense, of his intention to appoint him as Ukraine's ambassador to the United States.
The two then move on to discussing the affairs of Fire Point. Mindich is alleged to be complaining to the head of the Ministry of Defense that the company is underfunded, although Mindich has previously publicly denied any involvement in the company. Mindich and Umerov are also alleged to be discussing possible appointments to the Ministry of Defense and the salaries of their subordinates.
