Most egg exports go to the EU
In 2025, Ukrainian producers exported 2.05 billion eggs, which is 65.6 percent more than a year earlier, according to the Poultry Farmers Union of Ukraine. At the same time, export revenues reached 201.9 million US dollars, which is 2.8 times higher than in 2024.
The largest markets for Ukrainian eggs were Spain, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia, and Israel. Together, these countries accounted for a significant share of all exports in 2025.
Please note! At the same time, Ukraine increased the supply of egg products: 8.2 thousand tons worth 47.8 million US dollars were exported during the year. The main importers of these products were Latvia, Italy, Poland and Denmark, and foreign exchange earnings in this segment increased by more than 40 percent.
Ukrainian products have significantly strengthened their positions on the European market: the share of European Union countries in egg exports reached 73.4 percent, and in the egg products segment – 92.6 percent. Demand was supported by problems with egg production in EU countries due to the difficult epizootic situation and rising prices.
Important! At the same time, the domestic poultry sector is gradually recovering from the losses of livestock and production capacity in eastern and southern Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale war. In conditions of decreasing population and weak purchasing power, exports remain a key factor in the stability of the domestic market and food security.
