A man died under the wheels of a train in the Kyiv region. The incident occurred in the Obukhiv district.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Kyiv region on April 27.

It is noted that on April 26, the police received a report from a medical worker. He informed that a man was fatally injured in the village of Pustovity, Myronivka territorial community.

Law enforcement officers have previously established that a high-speed passenger train on the Cherkasy-Kyiv route hit a 49-year-old man. He was near the railway track and, losing his balance, fell onto the railway track as the electric train approached.

The man died on the spot from his injuries, law enforcement officials said. Investigators have launched a pre-trial investigation under Part 3 of Article 276 Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of railway, water or air transport, if they caused the death of people. On March 11, a man who ignored a prohibited signal and walked on the tracks was hit by the wheels of a Teteriv-Borshchahivka train. He died on the spot from his injuries.

On February 13, in the Kyiv region, a 23-year-old girl was crossing the tracks in an unspecified location and was hit by a Fastiv-Shostka train. She died on the spot.

On January 29, police reported that a bus in Obukhiv collided with a 67-year-old man who was crossing the road outside the crosswalk. The pedestrian died.
