Today, April 25, law enforcement officers in the Kyiv region detained a man. He is suspected of shooting in the Buchansky district.
This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Kyiv region.
It is noted that the police received a report from eyewitnesses that shots were heard on one of the streets of Bucha. Security police officers quickly detained the suspect.
“It was established that a 42-year-old man, while intoxicated, got out of a taxi onto the street and began shooting randomly. There were no injuries among the population,” the report says.
Currently, law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Investigators have opened proceedings under Part 4 of Article 296 Hooliganism with the use of firearms or cold weapons of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum sanction of the article provides for up to seven years of imprisonment.
It was previously reported that a 34-year-old man went to the police because two strangers approached him on the street and forced him to transfer 5,000 hryvnias to their account, threatening him with a grenade. The suspects are two foreigners, and they were sentenced to 8 years in prison. The attackers had previous convictions, and one of them was on the international wanted list.
