They promised to negotiate with the CCC for $20,000: law enforcement officers detained two Kyiv residents

Two Kyiv residents were suspected of offering money to a conscript to leave the premises of the territorial recruitment center. He was taken to the TCC to undergo a medical examination.

This was reported on April 23 by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

According to investigators, the Kyiv resident was detained on the street by the CCC and police officers. He, along with other detainees, was taken to undergo a VLK. There, the Kyiv resident met another man who asked him about his life, work, family, and found out the mobile phone number of his common-law wife.

“After that, a woman called her wife and said that she knew all of her husband's “problems” and offered her help in “liberating him from the premises of the CCC and the joint venture.” They offered to do this for 20 thousand US dollars. Moreover, the money had to be paid within a few hours, because later, according to her, the husband would be taken away by a military unit,” the prosecutor's office said.

Within five hours, under the control of law enforcement officers, the civilian wife of the conscript handed over 20,000 US dollars to the suspects. While receiving the money, police detained a 28-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man.

Their actions are qualified under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – abuse of influence committed by a group of persons in a prior conspiracy. The sanction of the article provides for up to 8 years of imprisonment.

The suspects have already been placed under preventive detention with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of almost UAH 1 million for each.
