The Duke of Sussex's visit was announced on the Buchanan City Council website.

Prince Harry visited the territory of the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called. The Duke of Sussex was met by Anatoliy Fedoruk, the mayor of Buchanan.

The Church of St. Andrew the First-Called is a symbol of the tragedy in Bucha. During the Russian occupation, the largest mass grave was located near the church, where 116 residents of the city are buried. Now there is a memorial on this site – a wall of memory with the names of the dead and deceased Bucha residents.
