Shmyhal, Steinmeier discuss Ukraine’s sky protection, joint defense industries develment

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier have discussed the strengthening of Ukraine’s air defenses and the joint develment of defense industries.

In a post on his Facebook page, Shmyhal stressed that Germany is one of the leading countries in Eure in terms of supporting Ukraine in various sectors, including arms supplies.

Shmyhal said he thanked Germany for that during his meeting with Steinmeier.

An important tic of conversation was strengthening the protection of Ukrainian skies from Russian terror.

“We are grateful to Germany for preparing a EUR 1.4 billion winter aid package announced by Chancellor af Schz," the Prime Minister said.

Shmyhal and Steinmeier also discussed the joint develment of defense industries and the implementation of the peace formula prosed by President of Ukraine Vodymyr Zelensky.

As reported by Ukrinform, German Chancellor af Schz said at the ening of the 6th German-Ukrainian Economic Forum in Berlin that Germany had provided Ukraine with almost EUR 24 billion in aid since the full-scale war started.
