Russian anti-covid vaccine ‘Sputnik V’ sts working – develer

The head of the Russian Gamaleya Center, which develed the 'Sputnik V' COVID-19 vaccine, Alexander Gintsburg, said that with the emergence of new strains, the vaccine "simply does not protect against coronavirus infection at all."

According to Ukrinform, Ginzburg said this in an interview with Gazeta.ru.

According to Gintzburg, the center is currently conducting clinical trials of an updated vaccine adapted to the omicron coronavirus strain. At the same time, he admitted that by March next year, when the new vaccine is expected to be available, it may already be outdated, as new strains are likely to emerge.

The Gamaleya Center reported the creation of the Russian 'Sputnik V' coronavirus vaccine in the summer of 2020. However, it was not certified by the World Health Organization due to viations of generally accepted standards during testing.
