
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Saudi Arabia on April 24. There he will meet with Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud.
The head of state announced this on the social network X.
According to him, the agenda of the visit is the development of agreements between Ukraine and Saudi Arabia in the fields of security, energy, and infrastructure.
“It is important that the strengthening is mutual. I appreciate the meaningful cooperation between our countries,” Zelensky added.

President Zelenskyy met with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud. They discussed areas of cooperation between the countries.
- The first is the export of our Ukrainian security expertise and capabilities in protecting the sky;
- The second is energy cooperation, which adds resilience to Ukraine in these difficult times;
- The third is the area of food security.
“We are working together to strengthen our peoples and partners. We have set tasks for our teams, and I count on their prompt and full implementation. Now, when international relations are significantly destabilized, it is precisely such bilateral work that restores confidence,” President Zelenskyy said about the details of the meeting.
According to informed sources, in addition to Saudi Arabia, Zelensky is scheduled to visit Azerbaijan. The day before, he attended the EU leaders' summit in Cyprus, where he participated in an informal meeting of the European Council.
The last time the head of state visited Saudi Arabia was at the end of March. Then Kyiv and Riyadh signed an agreement on defense cooperation.
In March, Zelenskyy said that 228 Ukrainian specialists were in the Middle East, helping local air defense forces combat Iranian strike drones. According to him, Ukraine had received 11 requests from Iran's neighbors, European states, and the United States for security support in countering Iranian “shaheeds” and other similar challenges.
