Ambassador Markarova hands Hero of Ukraine award to son of Prof. Kindzelsky who saved Chornobyl victims
Ukraine’s Ambassador to the USA, Oksana Markarova, handed the Hero of Ukraine award, conferred posthumously on Professor Leonid Kindzelskyi, to his son Andrii on Sunday.
President Vodymyr Zelensky signed off the relevant decree, awarding the hero radiogist for outstanding services to the Ukrainian state in the develment of medical science, develment and implementation of tos to diagnose and treat acute radiation sickness, Ukrinform reports with reference to Markarova's Facebook posting.
