Exports hit five-year high
In March 2026, Ukraine exported 216.2 million eggs, the highest figure in the last five years, the Poultry Farmers' Union of Ukraine reported, citing customs statistics.
Compared to February, supply volumes increased by 23%, and in annual terms by 25%. In monetary terms, the results are even more impressive: revenue in March reached 24 million US dollars, which is 57% more than in the same period last year.
In total, 579.5 million eggs were shipped to foreign markets in the first quarter of 2026. This is 17% more in physical volume, while foreign exchange earnings increased by 74% to 66 million US dollars.
Europe remains a key market
The main buyers of Ukrainian eggs remain the European Union countries, accounting for 74% of all exports. The highest demand was recorded in Spain (26.1%), Great Britain (13.1%), Poland (11.7%) and Israel (8.3%).
This distribution indicates stable demand for Ukrainian products in foreign markets, especially in Europe. The high dynamics of foreign exchange earnings growth also indicates an improvement in the price situation and the strengthening of the positions of Ukrainian producers in international trade.
