Kateryna Pavlenko, the leader of the band Go_A, is currently developing her solo project Monokate. The singer talked about what she is doing with the band now and whether it has actually broken up.
Monokate gave an interview to Alina Dorotyuk and commented on the group's activities. She explained that Go_A is currently on hiatus and is not actively involved. The male part of the group is “somewhere”.
The guys are in different places. Now the circumstances are such that the band's activities are impossible. Yes, our songs are on streaming, we are still contacted about performances and there are requests for our band. But now it is simply impossible,
– admitted Kateryna Pavlenko.
The singer believes that the group's activity is primarily about writing new music. Instead, Go_A stopped actively releasing songs at some point. It became difficult for Kateryna to go to concerts with the same material.
“I suggested taking a break, making new material, and resting. I didn't have any rest at all. I was really burned out,” Monokate shared.
The artist added that she can't say that the band has broken up. However, she doesn't know what will happen next with the group.

What is known about the band Go_A?
- This is a Ukrainian electro-folk band that has existed since 2012. However, the musicians gained wide popularity after participating in the National Selection for Eurovision, where they won.
- Go_A represented Ukraine at Eurovision 2021 with the song SHUM and took 5th place. The track went viral not only in Ukraine, but also in other countries in Europe and around the world.
- Earlier, in an interview with “Radio Lux”, Kateryna Pavlenko said that Go_A performed in a specific genre that had to be met. At a certain point, she felt “crowded.”
