The Consulate of Ukraine in Antalya received the status of Consulate General

Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiga inaugurated the work of the consular institution of Ukraine in Antalya, Turkey, in a new status – the Consulate General.

This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on April 21. They noted that the development of this institution “will contribute to the strengthening of Ukrainian-Turkish partnership, the development of economic cooperation, interregional ties, and cultural initiatives.”

Sybiga also introduced the first Consul General of Ukraine in Antalya, Bohdan Konoplyasty, who has already begun work.

“A separate part of the program was the presentation of state awards of Ukraine and awards of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to citizens of Turkey and Ukraine for support, solidarity, and specific assistance in the context of the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine,” the Foreign Ministry added.

Previously, Sibiga agreed with his German counterpart Johann Wadeful to open a Consulate General of Ukraine in Dresden.
