More than 90,000 Ukrainian soldiers have already been trained within the framework of the EU mission EUMAM Ukraine — Kallas

The European Union mission EUMAM Ukraine has already trained more than 90,000 Ukrainian military personnel on the territory of the bloc's member states.

This was stated by the head of European diplomacy, Kai Kallas, following the meeting of the EU Council on Foreign Affairs in Brussels on April 21, a correspondent for Suspilny reports.

According to her, the European Union remains Ukraine's biggest supporter in supporting its fight against Russia.

“In addition to military and financial support, our EU mission (EUMAM Ukraine — ed.) has already trained more than 90,000 Ukrainian soldiers,” she said.

The EUMAM Ukraine mission was established in October 2022 to assist in the training of Ukrainian military personnel. The training is conducted mainly in Poland and Germany. In total, there is currently a coalition of 32 partner states that are organizationally part of two military support missions to Ukraine.

In November 2024, the EU Council extended the mission's mandate for two years, until November 15, 2026.

Previously, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that within the framework of EUMAM Ukraine, 9 special courses for Ukrainian military personnel are operating in Poland.
