Magyar plans to discuss with Zelensky the return of Oschadbank's money, but only after taking office

The future Prime Minister of Hungary, Peter Magyar, said that he plans to discuss with President Volodymyr Zelensky the return of blocked Oschadbank funds to Ukraine only after he officially takes office.

This is reported by the Hungarian publication Telex.

According to him, there are many unclear details in the case, so he called for “patience and common sense,” and also emphasized the opening of the Druzhba oil pipeline.

“We don't know the truth, we saw propaganda news,” said Magyar.

He added that after taking office, he plans to discuss with Zelensky not only the situation with Oschadbank, but also other, more important issues.

As a reminder, on April 20, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he plans to discuss with Peter Magyar, whose political force “Tisa” won the parliamentary elections in Hungary, the return to Ukraine of Oschadbank funds detained by Hungary.

“Well, I would still like to return the money. They took some money from us, let's say. Who should we talk to? We'll talk to Magyar. I think we should return it. Orban simply stole this money,” Zelensky said.
