A farewell ceremony was held in Kyiv on April 20 for junior sergeant Alina Ryabtseva of the 114th Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She gave her life for Ukraine during the “Easter Truce” that was violated by the occupiers.
Radio Liberty journalists reported on the farewell ceremony. Her two children, who lost their mother in the war, were also present.
What is known about the defender?
The woman died on April 12, on Easter, while providing food to her comrades in the position.
Ukrainian journalist and military servicewoman Olena Bilozerska said that the defender completed her last mission in the Chernihiv region.
Alina Ryabtseva was killed while going to pick up a UAV and was blown up by a mine remotely placed by the Russians. The woman is survived by two schoolchildren. Alina's husband is also a military man.

She followed the call of her heart: for the sake of her children's future. Not only her own – in war, as is known, there are no “alien” children. She did more than she could, because she didn't know how to do otherwise… She wanted to fight, not “put up”. She went where it was harder – closer to her husband, to the front line,
