The Ukrainian military is forced to rationally use ammunition for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems. The reason for this is the constant massive attacks from Russia.
This was stated by Yuriy Ignat, head of the communications department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a telethon.
What did Ignat say about Patriot ammunition in Ukraine?
Yuriy Ignat recalled that the Air Force recently showed a video from Patriot positions, showing the state of ammunition. The colonel noted that only 2 missiles out of 8 remained on one of the installations, which indicates a high intensity of use of the systems.
He also suggested that the system could have been used in the recent attacks, as the video was filmed the day before. According to the Air Force representative, this once again confirms the urgent need for additional missiles for the Patriot systems.
Ignat emphasized that the Ukrainian military has significant experience in operating these complexes and is ready to share it with partners. At the same time, despite the high level of training, the defenders are forced to save ammunition and use it as efficiently as possible.

– explained the Air Force representative.
He added that the systems work even in difficult conditions, including during severe frosts. However, the key problem remains the provision of missiles.
“The issue with missiles is really very serious now,” the colonel concluded.
By the way , military expert Pavlo Narozhnyi noted on Channel 24 that Ukrainian Patriot SAM specialists work more efficiently than the Americans. The reason for this is the high motivation of the Ukrainian military and the economical use of missiles, but not only.
