The Ring has published an updated ranking of the best heavyweight boxers. Briton Tyson Fury returned to the top three after a victorious fight in London.
The Ring magazine has updated its ranking of the division's best fighters following a boxing evening at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The card in the UK featured top heavyweight boxers, with the main event of the evening featuring Oleksandr Usyk's former rival Tyson Fury taking on Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov.
In early 2025, Fury announced his retirement after losing twice to Usyk in 2024. In the first fight, the Briton lost the WBC title, and in the rematch, he lost by unanimous decision. These losses were the first in Fury's professional career.
However, Tyson later announced his return to the ring against 36-year-old Arslanbek Makhmudov. This fight was his first after a year and a half break. As a result, the Briton won over Makhmudov by unanimous decision after 12 rounds.
Tyson Fury has returned to the top three in The Ring's updated rankings. The publication's decision to place Fury in third place has changed the positions of other boxers on the list: Daniel Dubois is now in fourth place, and Filip Hrgovic is in fifth. Behind them in the ranking are active representatives of the division, including Moses Itauma, Martin Bacole and Richard Torres Jr.
