Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga had a telephone conversation with EU High Representative Kaia Kallas, during which they discussed the situation in the Middle East, the elections in Hungary, and the importance of unblocking the €90 billion EU loan for Ukraine.
Sibiga announced this on the social network X.
“We discussed the European agenda and the need to maintain unity and momentum in advancing key solutions that strengthen our common security and resilience,” he noted.
Diplomats also discussed the results of the elections in Hungary and their implications for the strength of Europe.
“I emphasized the importance of unblocking a loan of 90 billion euros to ensure further support for Ukraine and protect Europe from the Russian threat,” the Ukrainian minister noted.
Kallas and Sibiga agreed on the importance of coordinated international efforts to ensure stability in the Middle East and stressed the need to protect civilians and prevent further escalation.
Earlier, Peter Magyar, leader of the Tisza party, which won the elections in Hungary, said that he does not support Ukraine's accelerated accession to the European Union, but does not plan to block the European Union's provision of a 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine.
