The most popular platform in Ukraine for online ads and sales of goods, OLX, has responded to the new law No. 15111-d. It concerns the payment of taxes on income received by people through digital platforms.
What is known about the OLX statement?
So far, OLX has positively assessed the adoption of the law, as stated in the company's statement.
The post said that the team worked on the law in working groups, sharing experience and best practices from the European Union market.
We are pleased that our opinions and positions have been taken into account, and the draft law has been adopted in a format that generally corresponds to European practice,

In particular, Ukrainians were told what they should know about the law:
- thresholds are introduced for the number of transactions and the amount of income received (30 sales per year, or sales income of more than 2,000 euros);
- income from the sale of goods up to 2,000 euros will not be taxed;
- there are no provisions on the disclosure of users' banking information;
- There is no obligation to open special accounts.
The law will not come into force until 2027. And the new rules will only apply to those who make more than 30 sales per year or sell goods worth more than 2,000 euros.
However, the law places platforms like OLX in a “tax agent” role, requiring them to fulfill tax obligations on behalf of users. To ensure proper implementation on the platform side, it is crucial to give companies sufficient time to prepare,

At the same time, in 2026, platform users do not need to change anything – the sale of goods on OLX will continue as before.

- OLX has previously criticized the new law. In particular, it was known that the platform would like to conduct additional technical consultations on certain provisions of the draft law.
